MJ is basketball’s billionaire GOAT, and when you’re him, there’s literally no shortage of supercars you can buy and his garage is filled with exotic machines. Today, we’re diving into the cars parked inside his garage that are ultra rare and insanely luxurious. Trust me, you’ll wanna stick around till the end, because some of his picks will leave you thinking, ‘Wait, MJ really bought THAT?!

Chevrolet Corvette C4 (1984)

Before “Air Jordan” was flying high with Nike, MJ made his first major move… with Chevrolet. Yup, in 1984, a 21-year-old rookie Michael Jordan signed his first endorsement deal, not for sneakers, but for a brand-new Chevrolet Corvette C4. In exchange for doing a few commercials, MJ got handed the keys to a 5.7-liter V8 beast that had just rolled into showrooms. And if you’re wondering what the license plate said? Of course, it read JUMP 23. He literally lived in it. The Corvette became part of his identity. Later he upgraded to the ultra-rare ZR-1 Anniversary Edition in ‘93 that became one of the fastest and most collectible Corvettes ever built with 405 horsepower.

Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet ‘Flat Nose’ (1989)

After the Air Jordan sneakers took off in 1985, Michael Jordan started making serious money. And he did what any young superstar would do. He bought himself a Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet, also called the Flat Nose. This car was special. It looked different from a normal 911 because it had pop-up headlights instead of the usual round ones. It was fast too. With a turbocharged engine making 325 horsepower, it could go from zero to 60 in just 4.9 seconds. But here’s what makes it even cooler. This car actually inspired the Air Jordan VI sneaker. The shape of the Porsche’s nose and the big whale-tail spoiler at the back showed up in the design of the shoe. So every time you see the Air Jordan VI, you are also seeing a part of the car that Jordan loved driving.

Toyota Land Cruiser J80 (1991)

Outside the basketball court, Michael Jordan’s real love is golf. And when you are carrying a full set of clubs and betting crazy amounts of money per hole, you need a proper SUV. Back in 1991, Jordan picked the Toyota Land Cruiser J80. It was tough, reliable, and powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six with four-wheel drive. This was not some flashy ride. It was built for rough roads and serious adventures. In South America, they even nicknamed it the “Bubble” because of its round shape. It may not turn heads like his Porsche or Corvette, but for Jordan, it was about getting to the next golf course without missing a shot.

Ferrari 512TR (1992)

Talking about this car honestly gives a real ache to the heart. And you’ll soon know why. In the early ’90s, after winning his first championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1991, he gifted himself a black Ferrari 512 TR, matching the color to his custom suits. The plates read “M AIR J,” and Jordan drove this flat-12 monster everywhere. He was even photographed stepping out of it before Game 5 against the Knicks in 1992. After three years, he sold the Ferrari to Chris Gardner, whose life story would later inspire the movie The Pursuit of Happyness. Gardner, with the fitting plate “NOT MJ,” drove the car around Chicago. But later, the Ferrari faced a brutal chapter of  surviving wildfires, years of neglect, and the battle scars of time. Now, it’s heading back to Maranello for a full restoration, not just to shine again, but to honor everything it’s been through.

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

You know, Michael Jordan has always had a thing for Aston Martin convertibles — and one of the standouts in his lineup is the stunning DB9 Volante. It’s actually a step up from his older DB7, and man, this thing just screams elegance. Under the hood, it’s packing a 5.9-liter V12 engine that cranks out 450 horsepower. Jordan has been spotted cruising around in this drop-top beauty multiple times, and honestly, it fits him perfectly. Back when it first hit the market, the DB9 Volante had a price tag of over $100,000, and that proves it is nothing but pure class.

Cadillac XLR-V (2006)

When General Motors wanted Michael Jordan to drive a Cadillac, they did not take any chances. They sent him all three available colors of the XLR-V by truck — Infra Red, Black Raven, and Light Platinum — and let him pick whichever he liked. Jordan went with the red one, maybe because it reminded him of his Chicago Bulls days. The Cadillac XLR-V was no regular convertible. It packed a 4.4-liter supercharged Northstar V8, delivering 443 horsepower, and it came loaded with luxury touches like a Bulgari-designed interior. Jordan’s XLR-V was even more special, with reports saying it had custom seats and a dashboard featuring his famous Jumpman logo. Sadly, even MJ’s magic could not save the sales, and the XLR-V ended up selling way fewer units than Cadillac had hoped.

McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722 (2007)

When it comes to speed, Michael Jordan does not mess around. This car was not just built for looks. It came with a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 pushing out 641 horsepower, and it could fly down the road just as easily as MJ flew through the air. Only 150 of these were ever made, and Jordan had one sitting in his collection. The 722 in the name is a tribute to Sir Stirling Moss and his win at the 1955 Mille Miglia, starting at 7:22 AM. Jordan’s SLR was finished in Crystal Antimony Grey with a sleek black interior, complete with carbon fiber and red stitching. It is even said to be one of his personal favorites before he eventually sold it in 2017.

Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir (2010)

After retiring, Michael Jordan kept his car collection pretty low-key. But not everything could stay under wraps. Another rare car sitting in his garage is one of only 12 Bugatti Veyron Sang Noirs ever made. Sang Noir means “black blood,” and this edition was inspired by the night and the iconic Type 57S Atlantique. It is sleek and extremely powerful. With a price tag of over two million dollars, this Veyron can smash 60 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 253 miles per hour.

23XI Racing Toyota (2021)

Michael Jordan did not just stop at fast cars. In 2020, he jumped straight into NASCAR by launching his own team, 23XI Racing, with Denny Hamlin. And just like that, the No. 23 Toyota Camry hit the tracks, driven by Bubba Wallace. This was a big move. Jordan grew up a NASCAR fan in North Carolina, and now he is the first Black majority owner of a NASCAR team in almost 50 years. The number 23 on the Toyota is not just a tribute to his basketball days. It is a reminder that wherever Jordan goes, winning is the goal. He may not drive the Camry himself, but make no mistake, 23XI Racing is pure Michael Jordan.

Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster

Michael Jordan’s garage keeps getting crazier. In 2023, he added one of the fastest convertibles ever made, and that’s the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster. This monster is built to go over 300 miles per hour, powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 making 1,817 horsepower. Only 30 Roadsters were made, and Jordan owns one of the rarest, with only 12 units in the world. It costs 3.5 million dollars. John Hennessey himself personally delivered the car to Jordan’s private golf club, Grove XXIII, revealing his custom spec for the first time.

Pininfarina Battista Targamerica

Michael Jordan’s latest toy is a one-of-one hypercar called the Pininfarina Battista Targamerica. Built exactly to his taste, this electric beast makes 1,900 horsepower and can hit 60 miles per hour in just 1.8 seconds. Jordan worked closely with Pininfarina to create the Targamerica, choosing a silver-and-blue exterior, a tan interior, and even adding a custom cigar holder made from glass and aluminum. The open roof design makes it perfect for someone as tall as MJ, and the performance is just as wild as it gives out 217 miles per hour. Nobody knows the final price, but when you are Michael Jordan, does the price tag really matter?
